SUPPORT THE Y
As one of the leading nonprofits for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the Y depends on financial gifts to do its vital work. Your gift makes a difference!
To instill values and provide opportunities for lifelong personal growth and the development of a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
FOR A BETTER US.
FOR A BETTER YOU. FOR A BETTER COMMUNITY.
The Y is a positive force in this community. Together, we take on the challenges that shape our area’s future. From tackling the achievement gap to teaching healthy habits for a lifetime or giving people the chance to strengthen our community through volunteering, everything the Y does is in service of building a better us. Every day, our community faces new challenges that create a greater need for the work we do. YMCA donors, volunteers, members, and partners like you make the difference. Your gift can help Greater Nashua and everyone in it shine.
THANK YOU FOR STAYING WITH US!
Because of you, the Y has been able to stay true to our mission through these uncertain times. Thanks to our 224+ families and individuals who donated their membership dues for at least one month, we have been able to provide more assistance through emergency childcare, senior outreach, and food distribution, to those who need it most. We would like to recognize the members who stayed with the Y. Thank you for supporting the Y’s mission of strengthening our community.
- Annual Campaign
The Y’s annual campaign raise funds each year to benefit the Y CARES Financial Assistance Program. Y CARES provides scholarships to local children and families in need so they can experience Y programs and services such as child care, remote learning, food insecurity, day camp, dance & arts, sports, swimming, enrichment and more – regardless of their ability to pay. Over the past year, the Y has supported almost one in three families with financial assistance so they can have reliable and safe childcare and remote learning support during the pandemic.
Help Us Say Yes!
$10/month teaches a child to swim & develop life changing skills.
$20/month sllows a child to attend one week of summer camp, creating life changing experiences.
$40/month allows an older adult to enjoy the Y with friends & to be healthy.
$80/month enables a single mother to work, knowing her child is safe & having fun in 5 weeks of day camp.
Thank you to our 2020 Annual Campaign Contributors

- Planned Giving and Heritage Club Program
The Heritage Club is comprised of individuals and families who support the mission of the YMCA of Greater Nashua through gifts to the Endowment Fund or by including the YMCA of Greater Nashua in their estate planning. It is the commitment rather than the amount that is the basic factor in qualifying as a Heritage Club member.
An outright gift to the YMCA Endowment Fund of money, securities, property, or other marketable assets;
Naming the YMCA of Greater Nashua to receive a bequest in one’s will or living trust;
Naming the YMCA of Greater Nashua as the beneficiary of life insurance;
Naming the YMCA of Greater Nashua as a remainder beneficiary of a charitable remainder trust, gift annuity, pooled income fund, IRA, or a gift of a personal residence with a retained life estate.
The nation’s tax laws provide incentives that encourage philanthropy, in recognition of the role charitable organizations (including the YMCA) play in meeting important society needs.
Depending on the specific arrangement, you can expect some or all of the following benefits of a well-designed gift to the YMCA:
Income tax saving through the charitable deduction for the value of the gift;
Avoidance of the capital-gains tax on contributions of certain kinds of property that have increased in value over time;
Income for life, for a donor and/or other beneficiaries;
The possibility of increased, spendable income with certain arrangements;
Elimination of federal estate tax on the value of a gift passing to the YMCA upon the donor’s death;
Reduced estate settlement costs
When the YMCA is aware of your financial as well as philanthropic objectives, we can help formulate a plan that takes full advantage of the available tax benefits while fulfilling your desire to benefit future generations of children and families through the YMCA.
We welcome the opportunity to confidentially discuss how a giving plan might work for you.

- Volunteer Opportunites
Reasons People Volunteer
There are a multitude of rewards in volunteering at the Y. The Y provides people the opportunity to put into practice what they believe about life and give back to their community. Join our team!
How to get Involved
Volunteers can be incorporated into almost all aspects of the Y. The YMCA of Greater Nashua’s volunteers are the finest role models available to the youth we serve. Some have a great deal of experience in working with youth and others are looking to become involved. You will be required to go through an application and background check process.
