Gifts of Securities

Increasingly, donors are using appreciated securities – including publicly traded and privately held stock and mutual funds – to make gifts to YMCA of Greater Nashua. This method of giving allows the donor to take a charitable deduction for the full current value of appreciated securities held longer than one year and avoid paying the capital gains tax that would be due if the donor sold the securities. Charitable Adult Rides & Services (CARS) is a 501©(3) nonprofit social enterprise that supports nonprofits through vehicle donations.

Donating your car to help support the Y is easy! CARS take care of everything from the pick-up and sale to sending you the donation receipt and necessary tax documents.
