Nearly 80 members of the community joined the YMCA of Greater Nashua for its 129th Annual Meeting on November 17 at the Courtyard by Marriott in Nashua. During the annual breakfast meeting, YMCA CEO Mike LaChance inducted John Callahan of Hollis into the Y’s Hall of Fame, an honor reserved for those who have dedicated their time and talent to fulfilling the mission of the YMCA. LaChance said, “In choosing John Callahan, the Hall of Fame committee chose a member that truly represents the spirit of the Y and has provided opportunities for members of our community for lifelong personal growth and the development of a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. For more than 20 years, John Callahan has been actively engaged as a volunteer to drive the YMCA to a higher level of impact to our members and the community. As an active member using the facilities on a regular basis he has provided a perspective to assist the staff in continually improving the Y. He has held virtually every role a volunteer can possibly have in an organization like Y, including Board of Trustees Chairman (2013-2016); Chief Volunteer Officer (2003-2004); and Board of Directors Member (1993-2005, 2007-2009).”

This year’s Volunteers of the Year are: Anna O’Herren of Nashua, YMCA Board member: Diane Loudenback of Nashua, YMCA Storm Swim team volunteer; and Christian Anderson of Hudson, Nashua YMCA program volunteer.
