VOLUNTEER AT THE Y
Volunteers are the heart of our organization and we appreciate the time and talents that our volunteers share to make a difference in our community.
Our diverse volunteers are adults, teens, retirees, corporate partners and friends and family of staff. We help you find a great opportunity whether you can only share a few hours or many. We want you to enjoy your service and have a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment that you are making a difference.
REASONS PEOPLE VOLUNTEER
There are a multitude of rewards in volunteering at the Y. You get to meet new people and make new friends, and you get to make a difference in people’s lives all while developing skills and gaining invaluable experience. The Y provides people the opportunity to put into practice what they believe about life and give back to their community. Join our team!
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
Volunteers can be incorporated into almost all aspects of the Y. The YMCA of Greater Nashua’s volunteers are the finest role models available to the youth we serve. Some have a great deal of experience in working with youth and others are looking to become involved.
WHAT IS REQUIRED
All volunteers must be 13 years of age or older
All prospective volunteers will begin the process with our on-line application, followed by information from the Volunteer Coordinator and an interview with the Department Director; at which time your interests, availability and preferences will be discussed.
The training for each position will vary depending on the department to which you are assigned.
You will be required to go through an application and background check process. (Ages 18+)
If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering, please contact Terri McGrew, Volunteer Coordinator. We look forward to hearing from you!
