YMCA NAMES KELLI WHOLEY AS
DIRECTOR OF MAJOR GIFTS & PLANNED GIVING
The YMCA of Greater Nashua proudly announces the appointment of Kelli Wholey as the Director of Major Gifts & Planned Giving. A native of Nashua, Wholey’s extensive experience, unwavering commitment, and strong ties to the local community make her an invaluable asset to the YMCA’s continued growth and philanthropic endeavors.
“We are pleased that Kelli is will have a leading role in the YMCA’s development efforts. As a former YMCA of Greater Nashua Board member, she has made her mark as a strong fundraiser and community champion for the YMCA. Our YMCA has enjoyed a period of strong growth in our programs, services and community impact. Our staff and Board are looking forward to continuing our work with Kelli as we increase our philanthropic support to better serve the community,” said Mike LaChance, CEO of YMCA of Greater Nashua.
Before assuming her new role, Kelli leaves a legacy of accomplishment as the proprietor of Lumina Portraits, a distinguished boutique photography studio specializing in on-site corporate photography, professional headshots, and family portraits. Before that, she was a Marketing Teacher at Alvirne High School for seven years. Kelli is a founding member of the Nashua Chapter of the Women’s Business League, a platform committed to fostering meaningful connections and empowering fellow professionals.
She holds a Master’s of Business Education from Southern NH University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from University of New Hampshire.
In her position with the YMCA, Ms. Wholey will lead the organization in its development efforts in securing annual gifts, major gifts and planned gifts. She will work with staff and volunteers to elevate all streams of fundraising for the YMCA of Greater Nashua, including the annual support campaign, major gift fundraising, corporate gifts, and planned giving.
Reflecting on her new journey, Kelli expressed her heartfelt dedication to the YMCA’s mission, saying, “In a time when the loneliness epidemic is affecting lives more than ever, the YMCA’s focus on building a sense of community and connection resonates profoundly with me. The Y’s commitment to providing a welcoming environment where individuals and families can come together, share experiences, and foster relationships is something I’m eager to champion,” she said. “The Y’s dedication to providing access to quality childcare and promoting healthy living is a cause close to my heart. All children deserve a safe, nurturing space to grow, learn, and thrive. Additionally, empowering individuals of all ages with resources to maintain a healthy lifestyle is pivotal in creating a stronger, more resilient community.”
Kelli lives in Nashua with her husband Mark P. Wholey, Deputy Fire Chief for the city of Nashua, and their two children.
