Diaper Drive for Nashua Soup Kitchen & Shelter – November 25 – December 25
A Program Run by YMCA Togetherhood and the Merrimack YMCA Early Education Center
The Nashua Soup Kitchen & Shelter is woefully short on disposable diapers and supplies. They currently limit distribution to six diapers every 48 hours. Help us provide them with some additional inventory for families in need.
If you need a supplemental reason for helping out, click the following link to see what YMCA preschool teacher, Cady Hickman, is wishing to receive for her 25th birthday.
Why is this important?
- • Government assistance programs do not cover diapers so their cost is often out of reach.
- • Babies need 6-10 diapers per day, costing $70 – $80 per month.
- • Without disposable diapers, babies cannot participate in early childhood education programs. Many parents cannot go to work or school if they can’t leave their children at child care.
Help our neighbors in need and donate
- • Diapers/pull-ups (bring leftover sizes your children no longer wear)
- • Wipes and cream
What is Togetherhood?
It is YMCA’s Signature Program for Social Responsibility. We invite Y members to lead and participate in volunteer service projects that benefit the communities where we live.
Be part of the Togetherhood initiative and join the team! We are in need of volunteers for quarterly events and leadership volunteers to identify events. Contact the committee at nmymcatogetherhood@gmail.com for more information.
