YMCA TEEN LEADERS CLUB:

A NATIONAL TEEN PROGRAM PROVIDING MEMBERS WITH LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES IN THEIR COMMUNITY

Welcome to the Y’s Teen Leaders Club, the premier National Leadership Development Program for Teens in grades 6-12. The YMCA of the USA’s national program is designed to cultivate leadership skills, foster community service, and facilitate connections with YMCA chapters locally and nationwide.

Leaders Club provides the building blocks necessary for teens to enter the real world as positive leaders and individuals. Through a fun, safe, and non-judgmental program with positive role models, participants discover themselves and how their growth transcends to all their relationships – self, family, friends, and community – making the world a better place.

Join in on the Teen Leaders Club Meetings at the Westwood Park Y!

Meetings take place every Monday night from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at our Westwood Park Y Branch.

Just a few offerings our Teen Leaders Club program consist of:

• • Monthly Teen Nights: Tailored for teens, by teens.
• • Community Service Projects: Engage in meaningful service, such as volunteering at the Humane Society, constructing a gaga-ball pit, or revitalizing Camp Sargent.
• • Volunteer Opportunities: Contribute to Y Family Events like Healthy Kids Day, Trunk or Treat, Bunny Hop, and parent’s night out.
• • Partnership with Friends Forever International: Embark on service trips, such as the upcoming journey to New Orleans with Friends Forever International, offering a unique travel experience while earning two high school credits.
• • Weekend Regional Leaders Club Rallies: Connect with peers from across Massachusetts and New York at weekend rallies throughout the year at other YMCA’s in the Northeast Region. Expand your connections and networking with peers, adult mentors, and role models featuring team-building activities and new friendships.
• • Leaders School Summer Camp: Dive into a week-long immersive experience focused on leadership development, networking with peers, and group dynamics held on the campus of Springfield (Massachusetts) College.
