Westwood Park YMCA Batting Cages

Batting Cage Rental Information


The Westwood Park YMCA, a branch of the YMCA of Greater Nashua has two batting cages on site for rental purposes. Below are the rates per batting cage and rules for rental. To reserve a batting cage please call the Westwood Park YMCA at 603.402.2258 or visit us, in person, at 90 Northwest Boulevard, Nashua, NH.

Non-Members/Other YMCA Reciprocity Members * 
30 minutes: $15        60 minutes: $25

Team Rental ** (Team rental rate is a flat rate regardless of membership type.)
60 minutes: $25        120 minutes: $50

* If a non-member/reciprocity member enters with a YMCA of Greater Nashua member,
they will pay a $5 (for 30 minutes) or $10 (for 60 minutes) drop in fee per person. Above
fee structure is when all people in the party are non-members/reciprocity members.

** Teams are identified as a group of 6 or more.

  • Maximum rental time is 60 minutes per scheduled time (does not include team rental).

  • Balls and helmets will be supplied, must have own bat.

  • No pitching machines are available.

  • All participants must have a liability waiver on file with the YMCA.

  • Please allow time before your reservation for payment and signing waivers. If you miss a portion of your reserved time, it will not be added at the end. For example, if you book a cage 1:00pm to 2:00pm and arrive at 1:15pm, you will have the cage until 2:00pm.

  • Reservations will only be taken up to one week in advance. The only exception are teams.

  • Reservations can only be made via phone to 603-402-2258 or in person at the Westwood Park YMCA.




Batting Cage Rules and Regulations

  • Waivers must be signed by participants and when necessary, by their guardians/parents prior to use.

  • ALL batters MUST wear a helmet

  • Pitchers must always use a protective pitching “L” screen for safety.

  • For baseball or softball, only 1 pitcher and 1 hitter at a time are allowed in the cage- all other individuals must remain at least 3 feet back from the cage netting.

  • For any sports besides baseball or softball, use of the cage and protective safety measures must be approved in advance by YMCA staff.

  • Coaches with athletes using the cage must have enough other coaches/adults to supervise all other athletes under their direction that are elsewhere in the facility.

  • Batting practice/ swinging of bats must only take place in the batting cage.

  • Balls should be picked up and returned to the pitcher after each batter.

  • If using Westwood Park’s helmets and balls please place them back where you found them when you arrived.

  • Only closed toed shoes can be worn while in the batting cage.

  • No Batting practice (including practice swings) outside the cage. The only exception is on the turf field under the direct supervision of a coach/adult and has been reserved, in advance.

  • Strictly prohibited: Anyone under the influence of medication, drugs and/or alcohol. Police will be notified and future facility usage will be terminated.
