MAKE SUMMER MEANINGFUL
Come Join the Spaulding Family
Since 1921, YMCA Camp Spaulding has been a focal point for children and adults to become the person they want to be. The Camp Spaulding Experience is designed to take campers and staff out of the normal stresses of life and learn to connect with each other on a human level. Together they will learn, play and grow in a supportive community.
A session at Spaulding is unlike any other. Camper will:
- Become more independent, learning how to live in a community away from home.
- Take a step away from technology and screen time to really create strong bonds with peers and staff.
- Learn life and practical skills that can create life long interests and develop confidence through accomplishment.
Whether it is your first summer of your fifteenth, we are excited to have you as part of the Camp Spaulding Family. Campers have come from all over the world to experience a Spaulding Summer.

- The Spaulding Experience
The Spaulding program frames its experience on the belief that a camper can build positive confidence through skill development. The ability to gain a new skill, overcome a fear, achieve a goal, or refine a skill gives a camper the feeling of accomplishment that will transfer back to their lives outside of camp.
Our skills classes and goal setting program allows us to track a campers successes in order to ensure he, she, or they are growing as an individual at camp. Counselors will talk with your camper at the beginning of their time with us to set goals to accomplish and skills to learn that will transfer back to their lives outside
of camp. Throughout their time with us, our staff will work alongside your camper to achieve those goals and gain that feeling of accomplishment by the end of the session.
Throughout the camp experience, campers will be given the ability to find something that they are passionate about within our program offering. Our skill development classes will help campers learn new skills and aid in the creation of life long interests.
- High and Low Ropes Course
- Arts and Crafts (Pottery, Drawing, Painting, Sculpting, Photography)
- Swimming and Boating
- Outdoor Living Skills
- Sports (Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Flag Football, Quidditch, Floor Hockey)

- Performing Art (Music, Theater, Improv, Dance)
Campers will be given the ability to design their experience based on their interests. With the ability to try many different things, passions are discovered every summer by campers at camp.
- Overnight Camp Options
YMCA Camp Spaulding offers youth a safe environment in which positive values, personal growth, lifelong friendships, environmental awareness, and outrageous fun are key elements. Join us next session for an experience that lasts a lifetime!
TWO WEEK TRADITIONAL CAMP (AGES 8-15)
The residential camping experience is one of the strongest programs of the Y today. Led by adult role models, campers will live, eat, play and grow with their peers. Through all aspects of the camp day, the cabin unit becomes your camper’s home base and greatest unit of support.
ONE WEEK STARTER PROGRAM (AGES 7-10)
Maybe your camper is looking for a taste of what a resident camp is like; Rite of Passage camp is the experience your camper is looking for. Campers in this one week session get a sample of the resident camp experience.
LEADERS IN TRAINING (AGES 16+)
A chance for our older campers to learn what it takes to become a positive youth development role model. Teens will be part of a cohesive team that will be essential in the operation of camp and gain experience working with campers. This program requires an application and a selection process.
