For 137 years, the YMCA of Greater Nashua has been a steadfast community cornerstone, adapting, innovating, and evolving to meet the changing needs of those we serve. Founded in 1887, our Y has grown into a place of hope, strength, and community—strengthening the individuals and families who walk through our doors and leaving a lasting mark on the Greater Nashua area. We were thrilled to present our 2024 Annual Impact Report at the 137th Annual Meeting on the evening of November 14 at the Courtyard Marriott’s Event Center, where staff, volunteers, and community members joined us in reflecting on our achievements and future goals.

Our Legacy of Impact

This year has been one of growth and achievement, as we reached an incredible milestone of serving more than 48,000 individuals, with 18,000 of them under 18—our highest ever. This record number reflects our unwavering commitment to meeting the needs and exceeding the expectations of Greater Nashua residents. Our success is thanks to a dedicated staff, selfless volunteers, and generous donors who support our mission and work tirelessly to make a difference.

A Commitment to Access and Inclusion

Through diverse, high-quality programs and a welcoming, supportive atmosphere, we’ve created a Y where everyone feels valued and accepted. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we provided over $1.5 million in financial assistance and free community programs, making it possible for children and families facing financial barriers to enjoy the Y and receive vital services in our community. Our clean, safe, and inclusive facilities offer a space where all members feel at home and empowered.

Recognizing Excellence

Our efforts have garnered recognition locally and nationally this year, including several prestigious awards that celebrate our commitment to the community. Among these were Non-Profit of the Year by the Merrimack/Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce and Community Advocate of the Year by Eastern Bank. Additionally, we were honored as Community Partner of the Year by the NH College Presidents and recognized as a Program Champion by the US Department of Education for our Power Scholars Program.

Looking to the Future

While we reflect on this past year, we’re also looking ahead with excitement. Major investments are already in the works for each of our four facilities, and we’re expanding our reach through strategic partnerships, enriching volunteer opportunities, and innovative programs that support our most vulnerable populations. As always, our focus remains on fostering a sense of achievement, nurturing relationships, and creating a true sense of belonging for everyone in our community.

Thank you for being part of our journey. Together, we’re building a stronger, healthier, and more inclusive Greater Nashua—one that is ready to meet the challenges of tomorrow. We look forward to another year of positive change, growth, and impact with you by our side!
