1 Week Sessions at the Merrimack YMCA Cost: $150 Y Family Mbrs / $225 Youth & YgAdlt Mbrs / $300 Non Y Mbrs
Each camp will focus on the activity for most of the week and will have a small presentation or exhibit at the end of the camp session. For camps that include grades 1 - 6, they will be split into appropriate age groups during the activity times. These camps will include swimming as a choice at one time period during the day. Campers will need to bring a lunch, two snacks, drinks/water, bathing suit and towel. You may be asked to bring in additional items for specific camps. WEEK 2 (6/28 - 7/2)
BALLET (grades 1- 6): Campers will learn ballet steps and techniques throughout each day as well as study important ballet dancers and chorergraphers.
WEARABLE ART (grades 1 - 6): Each day campers will make art they can wear such as jewelry. T-shirts and hats, etc. We'll end the week with a special runway show.
WEEK 3 (7/5 - 7/9)
JAZZ (grades 1 - 6): Campers will learn jazz steps and techniques as well as study important jazz dancers, choreographer and figures in history.
WEEK 4 (7/12 - 7/16)
ACTING 101 (grades 1 - 6): Campers will study different areas of acting and theater through games and activities.
WEEK 5 (7/19 - 7/23)
CREATIVE ARTS (grades 1 - 3): Campers will express their love of art through daily projects and activities.
DIVA CAMP (grades 4 - 6): Campers will find their inner diva at this unique camp! Each day they will learn about skin care, makeup and nail tips as well as modeling poses. Campers will walk the runway in a special show on the last day.
WEEK 6 (7/26 - 7/30)
HIP HOP (grades 1 - 6): Campers can get down to today's hottest hits in this very popular camp. They will learn hip hop moves all week.
WEEK 7 (8/2 - 8/6)
TAP (grades 1- 6): Campers will learn tap steps and techniques. Tap shoes are required.
CREATIVE COOKS (grades 1 - 6): This is a great camp for your budding chef! Campers will make healthy snacks and lunch all week and will be eating what they make! They will not need to bring snacks or lunch from home, but please send bottled water. Please inform us of any allergies your child may have. Camper will have a chance to serve their guests at the end of the week.
WEEK 8 (8/9 - 8/13)
VISUAL ARTS (grades 4 - 6): Older campers can explore their inner artist and will be studying and making different forms of art including clay and painting. Art show on the last day.
PRINCESS CAMP (grades 1 - 3): Send your little princess to this indulging camp! Campers will be able to participate in tea parties, learn manners, do dancing and crafts all week. Princess tea party for all on the last day of camp!
WEEK 9 (8/16 - 8/20)
LYRICAL DANCE (grades 1 - 6): This unique form of dance is a combination of ballet and jazz. Campers will learn steps and techniques of this form as well as study important figures of history.
PHOTOGRAPHY (grades 4 - 6): Campers will learn how to take different styles of photographs as well as learn how to download and edit them in our media center. Please send your child to camp with a digital camera and the pertaining equipment.
